Does scale insects spread to other trees?
Yes. scale insects moves to other trees, which is why one infected tree is a decision about the whole yard rather than about that tree. Rarely kills an established tree but weakens it and makes a mess. Heavy infestations need two seasons to clear.

Bumps on twigs that scrape off, sticky honeydew, black sooty mould on leaves and anything parked underneath.
