Can a tree with scale insects be saved?
Rarely kills an established tree but weakens it and makes a mess. Heavy infestations need two seasons to clear.

Dormant oil in late winter, or a systemic timed to the crawler stage — timing is everything with scale and a spray at the wrong week does nothing.
