What does treatment for sooty mould cost?
There isn't a treatment worth paying for. Harmless in itself — it grows on the honeydew, not on the tree. It is a symptom. Treating the mould achieves nothing; find the aphids or scale above it.
What to spend money on instead
Deal with the insect, and the mould weathers off.
