Does sooty mould spread to other trees?
No. sooty mould doesn't move tree to tree in a way that makes your other trees a worry. Harmless in itself — it grows on the honeydew, not on the tree. It is a symptom. Treating the mould achieves nothing; find the aphids or scale above it.
