How big does an amur maple get and how long does it live?
Small — roughly 15–20 ft tall and frequently wider than it is tall — with a typical landscape life around 20–30 years, though well-sited specimens run longer. That makes it a low-cost removal: a ground crew and a chipper, no crane, no rigging, and stump grinding is trivial.
Spread below ground too
Shallow, fibrous and genuinely non-aggressive; it is small enough that it does not threaten drives, walks, foundations or sewer laterals, which is exactly why it got planted tight to houses in the first place. The root problem is reproductive rather than mechanical — seedlings take hold readily in mulch beds and fencerows, with most seed landing within about 100 metres of the parent.
