Yes. spotted lanternfly moves to other trees, which is why one infected tree is a decision about the whole yard rather than about that tree. Damages rather than kills most trees, but the honeydew and mould make a yard unusable.

Grey egg masses that look like smeared mud, sticky honeydew and black sooty mould underneath the tree.
