Does aphids spread to other trees?
No. aphids doesn't move tree to tree in a way that makes your other trees a worry. Rarely a health problem for a mature tree. It's a nuisance problem — the honeydew is what makes people call.
What to check
Sticky honeydew on everything under the tree, curled leaves, ants running up the trunk, sooty mould following.
