Does an eastern redbud drop a lot of debris?

Very light overall — spent flowers on the drive in late April, small heart-shaped leaves dropping early with no dependable fall color, and flat brown seed pods that hang through winter and blow down. The pods are the actual nuisance: they germinate readily, so a mature redbud seeds volunteers through the beds and lawn every spring.

How much tree is dropping it

About 20 to 30 feet tall and 25 to 35 feet wide, and rarely past 25 to 30 years in a yard — a redbud is something you replace in a generation, not something you inherit. That puts it at the bottom of the removal range: most are a small-tree job, often a half-day for two people with no crane, and the stump is small enough that grinding is a minor add-on.
