50-60 ft tall by 20-40 ft wide with moderate growth (Morton). The clock is disease rather than age — the ISA study saw symptoms appear around age 13 and trees become unsuitable by 25 to 30 — so plan on a 30-50 year tree here; removal is a full-rigging conifer takedown usually close to a house, mid-to-upper bracket, with brush volume high relative to the trunk wood.

Ohio State notes Diplodia commonly attacks mature trees already stressed by drought or root restriction, so the Austrian pines that decline first are the ones in parking islands, narrow tree lawns, and compacted clay strips — it is not a tree that lifts walks or invades sewer laterals, it is one that gets killed by having nowhere to root.
