Does bagworms spread to other trees?

Yes. bagworms moves to other trees, which is why one infected tree is a decision about the whole yard rather than about that tree. An evergreen stripped by bagworms usually does not regrow those needles — arborvitae and spruce don't refoliate bare wood. Catching them early is the difference between a treatment and a replacement.
